Here are my reviews of movies, music, video games, and anything else of the sort.

Movies

[Key: Movie Title (Year released; Movie genre; Cast)]

8 Mile (2002; Drama; Eminem) I usually only like listening to rappers and not watching them but Eminem gives a great performance. It has it's rough spots but a good movie otherwise. My rating: 4 out of 5

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991; Comedy; Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter) I got this on DVD free when I ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut. I tried watching it one night but I fell asleep, like, a little over half way through the movie. I'm glad I did, too. There's a reason Pizza Hut was giving these away free. How did Keanu Reeves ever get other parts in movies after this one?! I wonder if the shame of making it haunts his dreams at night. My rating: 1/2 out of 5

Commando (1985; Action; Arnold Schwarzenegger) This one is pure action! Sure the acting might not be all that great but it stands as one of the best guy-shooting-badass-weapons-blowing-stuff-up movies. I'm setting my rating a little higher than it should be just 'cause (hhmmm, can you guess?) all the cool explosions and gun-play!!! My rating: 3 out of 5

Detroit Rock City (1999; Comedy; Edward Furlong, KISS) Funny as hell despite the acting! If you don't recall, Edward Furlong played John Connor as a teen in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. My favorite part: Jam, the drummer, telling off (and cussing out) his mom on a stage in front of her peers. And in this case he was justified! My rating: 3 1/2 out of 5

G.I. JOE: The Movie (1987; Animated; Voices - Don Johnson, Burgess Meredith, Sgt. Slaughter) Say what you want but I loved the G.I. JOE cartoon series from the '80's. My favorite part: Sgt. Slaughter (a hard-core drill instructor) greets a soldier into his camp by saying, "[Don't make it here] and I'll send you home in a titty bag - an itty, bitty, titty bag." My rating: 4 out of 5

Little Nicky (2000; Comedy; Adam Sandler) I now regret buying this on DVD. It's a funny movie and all but I think it's more of rental than a purchase-type movie. Oh well, I still like the blind, religious guy on the street. My rating: 3 out of 5

Mr. Deeds (2002; Comedy; Adam Sandler) I don't care what other people say - Sandler is a comedy genius. My favorite scene: when he saves the seven cats from the fire by tossing them out of a three story window! My rating: 5 out of 5

Spider-man (2002; Action; Toby Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Willem Dafoe) Very cool! This movie did a great job living up to the comics. As a guy I of course really like the rainy night kiss scene when Kirsten Dunst's shirt gets drenched. I can't wait for the next two sequels! My choice for future villians: Dr. Octopus, Venom (though he'd probably have to be all computer generated,) Mysterio, and maybe even Shocker. My rating: 5 out of 5

X2: X-Men United (2003; Action; Hugh Jackman; Halley Berry; Patrick Stewart) A sequel that's actually better than the first movie! Only a few in the past have been able to do that. I'm glad I went to the theaters to see it. Although I commend them for trying, I think they went a little over-board dublicating Wolverine's hair from the comics (parted in the middle, pulled straight out to both sides then curled in at the tips.) I still kinda wish Logan would've got together with Mystique in the tent. I know she pretended to be the three X-Men women but hey, why not?! A good job done at the end when Jean becomes Pheonix (you can see her flying under the water) to leave it open for a third movie. Anyway, sweet-ass movie! X-Men and villians I'd like to see in the next one: Gambit, Beast, and the Sentinals. My rating: 5 out of 5

Movies I still want to see: S.W.A.T., Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Freddy vs. Jason, The Matrix Revolutions, Open Range, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Along Came Polly.
